Very Professional and responsive to my needs.
Thanks Sammy!!
Very professional
Great mix, communication & turnaround time.
A very positive experience.
Excellent results
I used MixButton for the first time recently and was very impressed with how my track was mastered. The turnaround was very fast. I didn't give a brief, as I was more interested in seeing what they would come up with. I was really delighted with the vibrancy their mastering gave the track. Will definitely use them again.
A Terrific Experience!
This has been a great experience with MixButton. And it has been refreshing to work with a company that just doesn't rubber-stamp your music. They absolutely nailed the sound I was going for. I will definitely come back for future mixing and mastering.
MixButton Studio...delivers!
This was my first time working with Mix Button and after reading reviews, I decided to try their service. My project had a slight delay however I was given extra revisions free of charge because of this. A good company is defined by how they handle missteps, Mix Button stands behind their service and putting the customer first. I will use their service again!
Mixing is where the parts become a song. Levels, EQ, space and depth get balanced so every element has room to breathe and nothing fights for attention. Mastering is the final pass: the polish that brings your track up to commercial level and holds it together on any system.
We do both, against the reference tracks you send us, with an engineer who works in your genre. You get a finished master in five working days, with one free revision.
Mixing starts £90 based on number of stems.
If your song is still a collection of separate tracks that do not yet sit together, you need mixing first. Mastering cannot fix a mix where the vocal is buried or the low end is cluttered. If you already have a mix you are happy with and only want the final polish and loudness, mastering on its own is enough.
Stems are your individual tracks exported separately: vocals, drums, bass, guitars and so on. Export each one from the start of the session at the same sample rate, with no processing on the master bus. Upload them as WAV files and we take it from there.
Yes. Most of what we receive was recorded in home studios. Clean source recordings matter far more than an expensive room: no clipping, no heavy processing printed to the tracks, and consistent takes.
Yes. Your master is finished to the loudness that streaming platforms expect, so it holds its level next to other releases without being pushed so hard that it distorts or gets turned down on playback.
The engineer matters more than the postcode. You lose being in the room. You gain choosing an engineer who fits your style rather than whoever happens to be local.
AI mastering is quick and cheap and can be fine for demos. It applies processing based on analysis rather than on what your song is trying to do. A human engineer makes decisions about intent: which part should lead, where the energy lifts, how a chorus opens up. For a release, that judgement is the difference.
From £90 per track for up to 20 stems, rising to £130 for 21 to 45 stems and £180 for 46 or more. Stereo mastering is an additional £40. A lot of customers opt for just a mixing package. Vocal tuning during the mixing phase is an optional £40.
Tell us what is not working. The included revision round exists for exactly that. Specific notes get you there faster than general ones, so "the vocal needs to sit further forward" is more useful than "it sounds off". Timestamps are a great way to communicate what change you'd like and where or when.
Mixing balances the individual parts of your song. Levels, EQ, panning and effects are set so every element has its own space. Mastering treats the finished stereo mix as a single piece, polishing tone, dynamics and loudness so the track holds together on any system and sits at the same level as commercial releases.
